Continuing a blistering week at the plate Ellie Smith was 3-for-5 with three RBI Tuesday night as the Booneville Lady Bearcats dumped Dover 11-4.
Smith (shown), who is 8-for-10 this week, started the game with a single and she and Torie Nobles were aboard and scored when an error extended the inning and allowed Peighton Montalvo to reach.
A Caroline Diffee double made it 3-0 and the Lady Bearcats (4-0) were on their way to remaining perfect on the season.
In the bottom of the inning Dover got a run back against Makinley Ensey, who would throw a complete game, but the Lady Bearcats would stretch the lead to 7-1 in the third.
Cam Parish (2-for-4) doubled home Roni Tillery for the first run of the frame and after Montalvo singled and Diffee walked, Farrah Stringer drew another walk to force in a run.
Ground balls off the bats of Shelbie Myers and Presley Walker added two more runs before the side was retired.
Dover used three hits to score a run in the fourth but Ensey stranded two in scoring position with a ground ball and one of her four strikeouts to keep it 7-2.
In the fifth a two-out single by Smith drove in Diffee, who reached on an error and Walker, who had walked, to stretch the advantage to 9-2.
In the sixth Parish drove in Tillery for her second RBI of the day getting the Lady Bearcats into double figures on the scoreboard, but a couple of Lady Bearcat errors led to Dover cutting the Lady Bearcat lead to 10-4 going to the seventh.
Then it was again a ground ball by Smith that made it 11-4. Scoring on the play was Zoey Jones, who was running for Myers (2-for-4) after Myers led off with a double.
The Lady Bearcats are scheduled to open a tournament in Russellville Friday against Elkins at 4:30 though the forecast has that schedule in jeopardy.
