Presley Walker hit a three-run home run to cap a 15-run third inning to push the Lady Bearcats to an 18-1 lead and end the game against Westside Johnson County Thursday.
The homer by Walker (shown in a game earlier this season) was the 11th hit of the inning after two were out. The inning was also extended by one of six Lady Rebel errors and a walk.
Shelbie Myers had two hits in the inning and was 3-for-3 on the day with two runs batted in.
Cameron Parish, who turned a second inning ground ball into an inning ending tag out, throw out double play, matched Walker with three RBI on a 2-for-3 day.
Also credited with two hits were Ellie Smith, Peighton Montalvo, Walker, and Tori Nobles, who added two stolen bases and was the winning pitcher, moving to 5-1 by allowing two just hits and an unearned run.
Nobles also had a two RBI day, as did Roni Tillery, Montalvo, and Caroline Diffee.
The Lady Bearcats will play their Conference 3A-4 opener today against Cedarville at the Billy Kiersey Complex. First pitch is set for 4:30.
