LADY BEARCATS LOOK TO BOUCE BACK TODAY

Bigelow took advantage of a Lady Bearcat miscue to add insurance runs in the seventh at the Billy Kiersey Complex Monday and went on to a 5-2 win.

The Lady Bearcats (8-3) had also missed opportunities early in the game, stranding runners on the corners in both the first and second innings.

Finally, in the third Roni Tillery (3-for-4) and Cam Parish (2-for-4) had back-to-back singles that led to a run but Bigelow scored two runs in the fourth without the benefit of a hit.

Tillery doubled and scored for the second time in the fifth inning. She moved to third on a ground out by Parish and scored on another one by Peighton Montalvo to tie it.

An error started the Lady Panther fifth but Caroline Diffee erased the error by catching the batter turned runner attempting to steal.

Bigelow then got a one-out single and a two-out double to retake the lead at 3-2.

The Lady Bearcats are back at it today in Lamar to make up a Conference 3A-4 game originally scheduled for March 18 but pushed back due to state tournament basketball.
