The Booneville Bearcats were handed a 12-4 loss in a Conference 3A-4 game by Charleston Friday evening.

After Rhett Nietert (2-for-4) singled to open the game Dylan Todd hit a line drive down the first base line that was snared and turned into a double play.
Charleston took the lead in the bottom of the inning when a fly ball was dropped. The Tigers stretched the lead to 4-0 an inning later but Todd (1-1) would get out of a bases loaded jam with a fly ball to Noah Harrel in center.
Clint Osborne (shown, 3-for-3) singled leading off the third and would score on a single by Nietert to cut it to 4-1 but after a ground ball double play got the Tigers out of a bases loaded situation
Then the Bearcats became generous.
Charleston scored seven times with two down in the inning as the Bearcats committed three errors to go along with a couple of walks before Nietert finally got through the inning with the deficit at 11-1.
Hayden Daniel singled leading off the fourth and stole one of his two bases on the way to scoring on a Cutler Haller ground ball to make it 11-2.
Todd doubled and scored on an error that allowed Daniel to reach in the fifth and Osborne scored on a wild pitch after being aboard on his third hit and it was 11-4.
The Tigers got another run on a ground out in the bottom of the inning to set the eventual final.
