All nine members of the starting lineup had at least one hit and the Booneville Bearcats completed a season sweep of Hackett with an 11-2 road win on Monday.

Hayden Daniel had the biggest impact with a pair of doubles in a 3-for-3, 4 RBI, four run scored day. He also walked, stole a base and scored the first run of the game on a wild pitch in the second.

Clint Osborne also had a multiple hit day with a couple of singles.

After Hackett took a 2-1 lead Daniel (shown) put down a squeeze bunt and beat it for a hit with Jace Washburn scoring. Sadler Miller followed with a two run single for a 4-2 lead.

In the sixth Daniel doubled home Casey Carter, who had been hit by a pitch for a 5-2 lead and a two-out Parker Smith single made it 6-2 and ended the day for the Hornet starter.

The Bearcats (11-6) removed any doubt in the seventh when Rhett Nietert singled and both Dylan Todd and Washburn bunted for base hits to fill the bases.

An error plated one run and Daniel got two more with his second double for a 9-2 lead. Miller drove in his second run of the day with a fly ball and Smith got his second RBI with a ground out to make it 11-2.

Nietert (3-2) allowed just his sixth hit of the day in the Hackett seventh but finished it with a ground out on just his 81st pitch thrown.

Tuesday’s scheduled game with Scranton was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The schedule calls for a game at Fort Smith Northside on Thursday.

With yesterday’s game cancelled the Bearcats played an intrasquad game before holding senior day festivities for Washburn, Todd, and Noah Harrel.
