When Presley Walker came up in the top of the first at Mena Monday she delivered an opposite field triple. She scored easily on a double by Roni Tillery and the Lady Bearcats were on their way to 16-6 win.
Both would be significant as Walker was on her way to becoming the first Booneville Lady Bearcat to hit for the a cycle in a game.
Walker hit an inside the park home run in the second inning that made it gave the Lady Bearcats (13-7) a 6-3 lead.
It was a 9-6 game when Walker came up in the third and doubled with two down, but she would be stranded.
Walker singled home a run in the top of the fifth, an inning in which Mena committed two errors and saw a strikeout victim reach base.
Tillery then doubled for the second time in the game to score two and make it 13-6.
Walker was retired for the only time in the game for the second out in the seventh but Tillery followed with her third double of the day, giving her a school record 14 on the season.
Tillery also started a series of four straight Lady Bearcats reaching and the lead growing to 16-6 on a run scoring single by Peighton Montalvo and a two-run double by Tori Nobles.
It was Nobles second double of the day and gave her a 4 RBI day.
With two different opponents scheduled having to cancel a game set for yesterday, the Lady Bearcats held their senior day ceremony for Shelbie Myers, Farrah Stringer, Ellie Smith, and Tillery.
