The seventh grade Bearcats fell to 0-2 with a 22-0 loss to Ozark Thursday.
The Bearcats were down 6-0 after the first snap but were moving the ball until a false start flag and a fourth down incomplete pass gave the Hillbillies the ball back.
Ozark would score twice more before halftime on big plays and added 2-point conversions after each touchdown to lead 22-0 by halftime.
The Bearcats moved into Ozark territory again in the second half but again ran into a penalty problem and turned the ball over on downs with 1:06 to go in the third quarter.
Deacon Lunsford ran 9 times for 42 yards to lead the Bearcats and David Martinez (shown) added 40 yards on 5 carries. Martinez was also the defensive leader.
The Bearcats will be back in action at 5:30 next Thursday in Paris.
