The seventh grade Bearcats closed out the 2025 season with an 8-0 loss to Charleston Thursday night on a soggy Bearcat Stadium turf.

The Bearcats committed two costly turnovers in the game, one that thwarted a game opening drive that had moved into the red zone.

The other came with the score 8-0 and the Bearcats just 2 yards away from a touchdown and an opportunity to tie the score.

After the fumble at the Tiger 17, which Charleston recovered at their 21, the Tigers kept the ball for 14 plays.

The 13th play was a pass that converted a fourth-and-15 and moved the ball to the Bearcat 16. The 14th play was another pass for a touchdown.

Out of the intermission the Bearcats forced a three-and-simulated punt behind Jagger Jobb, Braxton Ritchie, and Deacon Jones tackles and then moved from their 27 to the Tiger 2 before losing the ball on a fumble.

The Tigers kept the ball the rest of the way.
