Road warriors might not be a bad description for several Bearcat seniors.

As freshmen seniors like Seth Wilson and Clint Osborne (shown above making a tackle in Glen Rose) traveled in successive weeks to Smackover, Osceola, and Melbourne to earn an additional trip, to War Memorial Stadium.

As sophomores they made a Thanksgiving week trip to Camden (Harmony Grove Ouachita County) that eventually led to a War Memorial trip.

As juniors they made another playoff trip to Fordyce, which is where they will be going Friday night in attempt to recreate a 2022 playoff journey with a third straight road win.

Friday will mark their third Friday in a row and eighth non-neutral site game of their careers on the road with another trip to Fordyce on the heels of rides to Rivercrest and Glen Rose.

TODAY IN BEARCAT FOOTBALL HISTORY: December 5th in Bearcat football is not a banner day. The Bearcats are 0-4 in games documented to have been played on the date.

On December 5, 2014 Bryson May ran for 224 yards and Matt Berry had two interceptions in a 21-14 semifinal loss to Charleston as the 1 and 2 seeds from the conference were on the same side of the bracket.

The first Bearcat semifinal game was 75 years ago to the date against Forrest City. The Bearcats led 7-6 at the half and felt like they scored just before the half but were marked short and the Mustangs dominated in the second half.

FOUR QUARTERS: 1st quarter: By scoring 7 points Friday the 2025 Bearcats will become the 13th team in school history to score 500 points in a season. 2nd quarter: Conner Droemer needs 79 yards to have the 59th 1000-yard season in school history (with his second such season Hunter Warren is already the 58th). 3rd quarter: With 3 more last Friday, the sack count for the season is at 35 and the interception was number 17. There have been 14 sacks and 4 interceptions in the postseason. 4th quarter: The Bearcats gained over 500 yards (514) in a playoff game for the 7th time last week. Glen Rose is a victim for the second time (510 in 2021).

THEME: The pep rally theme is Jungle.
