The Seventh Grade Lady Bearcats completed a perfect first semester with an 18-10 win at Magazine Wednesday night.

The Bearcats, in what is the final game of the semester, improved to 3-4 with a 39-17 victory.

The Lady Bearcats (8-0) got off to a slow start, finally breaking the ice when Sunny Bolinger went coast-to-coast with a rebound.

Baskets by Mallorie Nobles and Hadley Kimes – on a feed from Charlotte Green – made it 6-0 through a quarter.

Kimes was just getting started. She accounted for 8 of the 10 Lady Bearcat second quarter points and it was 16-0 at the half.

Gemma Schneider would score the only Lady Bearcat points of the second half.

In the boys game the Bearcats broke a tie at 4-4 with six straight points, including a 3 by Kolton Mott, but led just 10-7 but after the first quarter.

After that it was all Bearcats. Channing Ketsouryavong (shown with ball) was dominant when the Bearcats started to distance themselves.

Second half 3s by Deacon Lunsford and Easton Floyd would help the Bearcats continue to pull away.

Both teams will return to action on January 5, making a trip along with the junior high teams to Charleston.
