The 2021 golf season is winding down.

Head coach Jake Fennell had planned a final regular season tune up in Pottsville on Monday of this week but that event was cancelled leaving only the district tournament remaining on the schedule.

That tournament will be hosted by the Bearcats at Cherokee Creek Country Club next Monday morning.

The Bearcats last hit the course on September 7 at Little Creek where Brooks Herrera shot a 41 and both Brett Welling and Rylen Ray a 42 for a 125 that placed second to Waldron.

Macolen Tillery also shot a 44, Jace Washburn a 45 and Peyton Tatum a 50 in Ratcliff. Noah Harrel and Colt Cobb completed the Bearcat entries.

Tillery had been the only Bearcat golfer in Ozark on September 2 and shot a 54. Fennell had no male golfers available on August 31 in a match at Cherokee Creek.

Leigh Swint and Brooke Turner were the only Lady Cat golfers at Little Creek and in the home match on August 31.

Swint shot a 45 at Little Creek and had the low round of the day with a 42 at Cherokee Creek on August 31. Turner shot rounds of 55 at both locations.

At Ozark on September 2 the Lady Cats had their full contingent and beat the Lady Hillbillies in a head to head match as Swint shot a 45, Joleigh Tate a 46, and Hayley Lunsford a 53 for a 144 team score. Ozark’s score was a 153.
