The Booneville Bearcats complete a tour of the 4A-4 and nonconference play with a game against the Bearcats of Mena tonight. It is the Bearcats first trip to Mena since 2013.

Mena (2-1) is the defending 4A-4 conference champion and is coming off a 34-0 loss in Hot Springs. Mena’s Bearcats beat De Queen and Clarksville to open the year. Mena is able to play four nonconference games because Subiaco opted for 8-man football after conference assignments were released in 2020.

Last year Ty Goff ran for 216 yards on only 9 carries against Mena. The total included an 88-yard touchdown run.

Mena appearing on the schedule came after some confusion with Pottsville, who had previously occupied the week 2 slot for this cycle.
