TENNIS CATS TO HOST MULBERRY TODAY

The Booneville Bearcat and Lady Cat tennis teams will be in action today on the Marcelle Phillips City Park courts.

Today's matches mark the third straight at home for the squad.

Most recently, on Thursday, the tennis teams won eight of 10 sets against Atkins.

George Griffiths played the feature match, winning a 6-4 set. Tyler Ray (shown in a recent match) also won a boys singles match 6-1, and Ellie Smith and JoLeigh Tate dominated their singles opponents, 6-1 and 6-0 respectively.

Doubles teams winning their sets were Layla Byrum and Tate, 6-3, Linley Garrett and Lexi Franklin won sets 6-2 and 6-1, and Smith and Byrum 6-1.

London Lee and Evan Escobedo and Bryum and Tate dropped close doubles sets, 4-6.
