Running for the second time in four days, the Booneville Bearcat cross country team was sixth as a team at the Cabin Creek Invitational in Lamar on Tuesday.
London Lee was the top runner for the Bearcats with a 16th place finish in 22:21.6 over the 3.3-mile course.
Elliot Wortham (shown in a previous run) ran 20th, Caden Evans 39th, Boston Keatts 46th, and Trenton Jones was 62nd in the event that included runners from 17 schools.
The Lady Cats had only two runners on the course but one of them, Lexi Franklin, finished 14th. Carah Miller was 51st.
Head coach Ronnie Denton’s junior boys had seven runners and took ninth as a team, being led by Sean Pennington, who was 11th.
Taylor Shaver ran 46th and Wesley Fonseca, Cody Sum and Dakota Fonseca completed the Bearcat scoring. Also among the 165 junior high runners on the 1.6-mile course were Osvaldo Gonzalez and John Weis.
Among the 170 junior high girls runners were Natalie Blankenship, the Lady Cats’ top finisher, Raelynn Franklin and Phebe Adair.
