The Booneville Lady Cat golf team completed their season Wednesday with a sixth-place team finish in the Class 3A state tournament.

Leigh Swint had the best round of the day for the Lady Cats, shooting a 104. Joleigh Tate took two strokes more and Hayley Lunsford completed the Lady Cat 341 team score with her round.

Brooke Turner was the fourth Lady Cat golfer on the course.

Bismarck won the tournament for the fourth straight year, beating their closest competitors by 28 strokes.

Due to graduation, head coach Jake Fennell is losing three of the four golfers he took to Glenwood. Swint is a junior.

The Lady Cats qualified for the tournament by placing second as a team in the district tournament last week in Booneville. There were 12 teams and up to four individuals from the six different conferences represented in Glenwood.

The Bearcat golfers, who also finished second in the district tournament last week, will compete in their state tournament on Tuesday.
