Booneville seventh grade cross country runner Sean Pennington continues to make his presence known on cross country courses.
After placing 11th in his last two runs, Pennington cracked the top 10 Tuesday, finished ninth overall in the junior high division of the Magazine Invitational, earning another medal. He completed the 1.5 mile run in 8:57.
Pennington (shown nearing the finish line Tuesday) has finished as high as sixth in a division this season and has consistently been the top Junior Bearcat runner.
Due to injuries and other factors, the Junior Bearcats would be the only Booneville team to have enough runners to team placement.
Also running for the Junior Bearcats were Cody Sum, Wesley Fonseca, Dakota Fonseca, and Taylor Shaver.
The Junior Lady Bearcats were just one runner short of a team placement with Zayla Honey, Phebe Adair, Natalie Blankenship, and Raelynn Franklin.
In the senior high divisions Carah Miller was the lone Lady Bearcat representative and Elliott Wortham and Boston Keatts were the only two entries for the Bearcats.
