The Booneville Seventh Grade Bearcats had their two-game winning streak snapped at Dardanelle Thursday night, but they did have their most productive offensive night of the season.

The Bearcats ran for 254 yards and scored a season high in points in a 40-22 loss to the Sand Lizards.

Hunner Inklebarger led the way with nine carries for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His 3-yard scoring run about midway through the first half, followed by a two-point conversion run by Tayden Washburn tied the score at 8-8.

Dardanelle scored twice over the remaining 10 minutes and opened a 20-8 lead, then scored again midway through the third quarter and led 26-8.

Washburn, who ran 11 times for 71 yards, scored a touchdown on a 3-yard run, and with a two-point conversion run by Rylie Swint (pictured), the Bearcats were back within 26-16.

Inklebarger’s second touchdown cut a Dardanelle lead to 32-22 but the Sand Lizards added a touchdown and two-point conversion with just under two minutes left to set the final.

The Bearcats moved the chains for 17 first downs in the game and got 53 yards rushing from Robert Musgrove and 42 from Swint.

Brody Chambers was the defensive leader with four solo and two assisted tackles, including a quarterback sack.
