Eleven Bearcats have been named All 3A-4 Conference by league coaches. Four of those were also named All State.
Randon Ray, Rocky Ross, Mason Goers, and Casey Mattson were the All State selections.
Ray ran for 1609 yards and a school record tying 33 touchdowns this season. He scored five two-point conversions for a total of 204 points scored. He also threw for 158 yards and three more touchdowns.
Defensively Ray led the team with four interceptions and he had 28 total tackles.
Running for 872 yards, Ross averaged 15.3 yards on each of his 57 carries, with 12 going for touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also scored five two-point conversions.
Goers and Mattson both moved to lineman and helped lead the Bearcats to 5614 rushing yards, which according to MaxPreps, was the most of any school in Arkansas. Both also played linebacker positions.
Goers recorded 58 total tackles with 11.5 tackles for a loss and a team best 3.5 sacks. Mattson had 57 tackles with a sack and eight tackles for a loss. Both also had an interception and Goers got to live the lineman dream when he scored a touchdown by advancing a fumble.
The seven remaining All Conference choices were Johnny Barnes, Dunn Daniel, Dax Goff, Brooks Herrera, Chase Plymale, Rylen Ray, and Brett Welling.
Barnes manned both offensive and defensive line positions, helping out with those rushing totals and recording 5.5 tackles for a loss.
Daniel scored the first defensive touchdown of the season and totaled 57 tackles with five going for a loss. He also caught a two-point conversion pass.
Goff ran 96 times for 947 yards (9.9 per carry) and 12 touchdowns. He also led the team in tackles with 89 with a team best 12 for a loss. The linebacker also had two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
A defensive back and running back Herrera had three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. He also broke up a team leading four passes and made 31 tackles. Offensively he ran for 420 yards and two touchdowns on just 30 carries.
Plymale specialized on the defensive line most of the season but wound play both ways later in the season. Defensively he made 37 tackles with 2.5 sacks and 10.5 for a loss.
Fullback Rylen Ray ran for 1027 yards and 12 touchdowns on 132 carries. A lineman on defense, Ray made 33 tackles with seven going for a loss.
Welling was another two-way lineman paving the way for the rushing marks and on defense he made 37 tackles with 5.5 going for a loss.
