Colter Fisher scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Booneville Bearcats to a 50-43 Conference 3A-4 win over Cossatot River Tuesday night.

The Bearcats (8-2, 2-0) led 46-40 after the Eagles were whistled for a sixth foul, which was a move to stop the clock.

Fisher got free on the inbounds play and Mason Goers hit him for an easy basket to make it an 8-point lead with 18 seconds to play.

Fisher hit both ends of a one-and-one with 6.5 seconds to play to make it 50-40 and Cossatot got a 3 at the buzzer to set the final.

Early on Fisher was making his mark on the game with assists. He had three assists in the first four Bearcat baskets – he had scored the other – and it was 11-2 with 3:45 to go in the opening quarter.

Cossatot shot their way back to within 11-7 but Fisher scored the final four points of the second quarter.

After an Eagle basket Goers hit a 3 to make it 18-9 but the Bearcats would not score again for the next 4:31 when Goers hit his third 3 of the half to make it 21-16.

Cossatot got a 3 of their own to get within 21-19 at the half.

For the night the Bearcats hit 10 3s and the Eagles hit eight.

One of Cosssatot River's 3s made it a 25-24 game at the 4:55 mark of the third quarter but the next 12 Bearcat points came from beyond the arc with Fisher hitting two and Raiden Ferguson and London Lee hitting one each and it was 37-27.

Threes on either side of the quarter break had the Eagles within 37-33 with 7:24 to play, but 3s by C.J. Johnson and Lee in a span of 28 seconds followed by another Johnson basket had the lead a game high 11 at 44-33 with 5:47 to go.

It was still an 11 point advantage again after Evan Escobedo (shown) scored to make it 46-35 but five points by the Eagles made it 46-40 with 2:47 left.

After a time out with 2:06 to go the Bearcats kept the ball for almost a minute before a turnover.

Cossatot would have two opportunities to cut into the lead in the final minute but came away empty, setting up the need to foul.

The Bearcats will next play when they face Pocola, Okla. in the opening round of the Bill Frye Classic in Mansfield at 12:15 on Dec. 28.
