Several Lady Bearcats made their golf debut Tuesday afternoon in a tournament at the Waldron Country Club.
Joining Leigh Swint, who shot a 46, were Ellie Smith who shot a 59, as well as a trio of Mary Haynes, Angie Brown, and Riley Broussard, who all shot 60s, for a three round team score of 165. Alisa Rogers also took to the links for the Lady Bearcats.
The team score placed the Lady Bearcats just six strokes back of Mena. Charleston won the event. Paris and Waldron were also represented on the course.
In the boys division where five of the nine Bearcat golfers were in Dardanelle for football, the Bearcats were led by Noah Harrel who shot a 48.
Macolen Tillery was one stroke back at 49 and Landen Ritchie (shown during a match last week) completed the scoring with a 50 for a 147. Colt Cobb completed the Bearcat field.
Charleston and Mena shot the lowest rounds in team play with Mean third. Paris was also represented.
