The Seventh Grade Bearcats absorbed a 22-0 loss in Ozark Thursday night.
The Bearcats (1-1) took a simulated punt their first possession and Ozark went ahead 8-0 on their first offensive play.
The Bearcats moved the chains twice and were gifted 15 yards for a facemask infraction to reach the Hillbilly 28-yard line but they would turn the ball over at the 27.
After Ozark doubled the lead to 16-0 the Bearcats got a first down carry from Sadler Miller (shown) and kept the ball the rest of the half.
Ozark had the ball the entire third quarter and scored on the first play of the final quarter to make it 22-0.
A turnover on downs gave Ozark the ball back and the Hillbillies maintained possession the rest of the way.
Laythen Shaffer led the Bearcat defense with a solo and four assisted tackles.
The Bearcats will now be idle until September 22 when they face Hackett.
