Booneville made its first trip into Hackett Friday. With a 75-46 final the game will not be soon forgotten.

The 75 points on the visitor’s side of the scoreboard is the second most points ever scored by a Bearcat team. The most was 91 in 1932 against Havana.

To score those points the Bearcats ran all of 48 plays, which actually counts one on which a penalty wiped out all but 1 yard of a nice gain. It doesn’t count a penalty that took away a touchdown that was later scored anyway.

The 48 plays spanned 12 possessions. The only time the Bearcats did not score a touchdown on a possession was when the first half ended, and then they only had about 12 seconds with which to work.

There were three 1-play drives. The longest took eight plays.

Those 48 total plays resulted in 616 yards. That’s the third most to 675 against Subiaco in 2001 and 636 against Ozark in 1999.

Of course Hackett had its share of offense, 473 yards to be exact, and the 1089 combined yards marks the second most in a Bearcat game. The most was 1098 in the Ozark game of 1999 (636-462).

The combined 121 points is the most ever in a Bearcat game. The previous high was 117 in a 64-53 loss to Danville in 2015. Now third at 110 is the 63-47 win over Hoxie in 2014.

The longest time the scoreboard remained unchanged was the 6:03 between the 3:43 mark of the first and 9:40 mark of the second quarters it took the Bearcats to go from a 21-6 to a 27-6 lead.

The shortest time the score stood was the 12 seconds between Hackett cutting the lead to 27-12 and the Bearcats pushing it to 34-12.

Then there are the individual eye-popping numbers. There were 43 documented 200-yard rushing games by a Bearcat coming into the game. There are now 45.

The previous 43 came in 25 different seasons, as many as five in a year, but never more than one in a game.

That changed Friday night with Dax Goff running for 226 yards on 13 carries, and Trace Hall (shown) adding 222 on 14 carries.

Oddly, of the 43 200-or better games ranging from 200 to 298 yards, none had been 222.

Hall ran for five touchdowns on the night. Six is the single game scoring record (Davin Hicks, Jeremey Thomas, Anthony Napier) but Hall joins a pretty notable group at five with Lowell Whitaker, Larry Waganer, Andy Napier, Talor Tatterson, and Carson Ray.

Dax Goff going for 225 makes he and Ty Goff the first set of brothers (there are father/son duos and cousins) to have a 200-yard night.

One of Dax Goff’s carries went for 80, adding him to a group of now 45 runs of 80 or more yards. Among the list are brother Ty (88 v Mena in 2020) and dad Trent (84 v Paris in 1995).

There was a third back with a triple digit night — that’s been done multiple times but it bears mention — in fullback Cody Elliott picking up a career high 116 yards on 13 carries, with a touchdown. Elliott also owns one of those 80+ runs.

Finally, kicker Marcos Mullor tied a single game record for most PATs made with nine, which is now a regular season record. Mullor attempted 11, which is also the record.

The nine made kicks matches Wayne Pack’s total against Shiloh Christian in 2004 playoffs (there were 10 that night but Andrew Haney made the first one) and the nine by Josh Smith against Hoxie in the 2014 playoffs.
