With 3:28 to play in the first half of the 2022-2023 season the Lady Bearcats led Western Yell County 17-12. By the end of the 4:25 mark of the third quarter an 18-0 run had made it 35-12.
Carah Miller scored to start the run and push the lead to seven, a conventional three point play by Lexi Franklin, and with the final three points of the half coming from Leigh Swint it was 25-12.
For Swint it was an otherwise quiet first half but it would not be a quiet second half.
After a Franklin bucket Swint hit a 3, and after a Miller bucket, had a conventional three point play by Swint made it 35-12.
Swint scored seven fourth quarter points and finished with a game-high 18 points and also pulled down seven rebounds and had four steals.
To close it out Linley Garrett put in her first basket of the season, as did JJ Keatts with a 3 that set the final.
Miller had scored six first quarter points and Franklin added five to help fuel a 15-8 lead through on quarter.
Both would finish the night with 12 points with Miller adding seven rebounds and blocking a couple of shots and Franklin accounting for three assists and four steals.
