JR. LADY BEARCATS WIN CONFERENCE GAME IN PARIS

Idle since December 19, the Booneville Junior High Lady Bearcats picked up a conference win on their return to the floor Thursday night in Paris.

The Lady Bearcats throttled the Lady Eagles 53-28 as eight different players earned their way into the scoring column.

Presley Walker was the leading scorer with 13 points. She scored seven of those points in the second quarter when the Lady Bearcats turned a one score game into a halftime lead of 26-14.

Walker, scored six second half points with two coming from the foul line, where she was perfect on four attempts.

Tempi Terry and Anna Ferguson both scored nine points in the game and Raelynn Franklin scored eight. McKinley Ensey and Haylee Taylor both hit a 3 and scored five.

The win over Paris is the second with an early December meeting being a nonconference game.

The junior girls were managed the only win in the four game night though the seventh grade Lady Bearcats fell just 16-14 and the seventh grade boys just 40-37 in games that were much closer than an earlier meeting.

The Junior High Bearcats suffered a loss to the Eagles in the final game of the night.

The seventh grade Bearcats got the first win of the second semester, dominating Magazine 31-16 on Wednesday. The seventh grade Lady Bearcats were defeated in the first game Wednesday.
