Six Booneville Bearcats combined to hit a school record 15 3-pointers to scorch Danville 84-64 Friday night, evening their Conference 3A-4 record at 2-2.

Colter Fisher hit six 3s and Raiden Ferguson (shown) and Noah Harrel both had three of them. C.J. Johnson, Dakota Mattson, and Jace Washburn also hit one.

There were six 3s in a 31-point first quarter by the Bearcats. After Fisher scored the first points of the night he would add three 3s for an 11 point quarter.

Fisher would go on to score a game-high 22 on the night and pull down six rebounds.

Already up 31-17, the pace slowed only slightly in the second quarter as the Bearcats hit four more 3s and extended the lead to as many as 24 when Washburn joined assault from beyond the arc.

With his 3 Washburn would score seven points in the second quarter and would finish with 21 points and four assists.

Danville was able to cut the deficit to 19 by halftime, 53-34, but the Bearcats were able to extend the lead to as many as 25 at 66-41 with 2:42 left in the third quarter.

The Little Johns would score the final seven points of the quarter to start an 11-0 run and it was a 66-52 game with 7:05 to play.

Washburn scored the next three points with a basket coming on one of Fisher’s four assists and a free throw from Johnson made it 70-44 with 4:44 to play.

Johnson scored six points on the night but also handed out six assists.

That was as close as it would get as Harrell hit a pair of 3s in a span of 30 seconds.

Harrel, Ferguson, and Mattson all scored nine points.

The Bearcats will next play at home on Tuesday against Cossatot River.
