Mattson Wins High Jump At Gaile Hainley Relays

Dakota Mattson won the high jump at the Gaile Hainley Relays in Waldron Monday night.

Mattson won the high jump at 6' 2" and placed in four events for the Bearcats, who scored 38 total points.

Mattson was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.17, fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.28, and was seventh in the long jump clearing 19’ 4.25”.

Trace Hall ran second in the 200-meter dash at 24.08 and Trevor Karow was also a top three finisher with a third in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet.

Colter Fisher picked up a point in the triple jump, placing eighth at 37’ 7.25”. Wesley Fonseca tied for eighth in the high jump.

In the girls division the Lady Bearcats top finish was a second place 100-meter hurdle run time of 17.66 by Lyddia Franklin.

Two relay teams also picked up points with the 4x200-meter team of Linley Garrett, Allie Siddons, Adisyn Hill, and Shelbie Myers running third in the 4x200 in 2:05.08; and the team of Garrett, Angie Brown, Beverly Harrison and Siddons placing sixth in the 4x100 at 58.74.

Brow and Myers were seventh place finishers in the long jump and shot put with Brown clearing 13’ 7” in the long jump and Myers tossing the shot 27 feet.

The final Lady Bearcat point came from Hill’s eighth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a run of 59.69.
