The Booneville Lady Bearcats wrapped up District 3A-4 play with a 20-0 win at Two Rivers Friday and will be the two-seed in the district tournament next week. The Lady Bearcats are also assured of a Class 3A Region 1 tournament appearance.
The Lady Bearcats (11-9, 6-1) scored 11 times in the first inning on the way to the win. Eight of the runs scored after there were two outs.
Ten Lady Bearcats participated in the hitting attack with Ellie Smith (shown in a previous game) leading the way with three hits. Presley Walker also had a two hit day.
Ten players also drove in runs for the Lady Bearcats with Smith, Shelbie Myers, and Kylie Lunsford all driving in two.
Bella Crabrtree got the start in the circle and struck out eight in the three inning win. She walked just two and allowed only one hit. Crabtree is the fourth different Lady Bearcat to pick up a win this season.
The Lady Bearcats have four game schedule this week starting with a trip to Waldron today.
