The Booneville Junior High Bearcats won 14 events and easily outpaced their closest competitor to win the District 3A-4 meet Monday in Waldron, 288-183.
Chase Shelton won the high point award for the Bearcats with 44.5 points. He won both the 100-meter dash (12.21) and 200-meter dash (25.22). Shelton was also second in both the long jump (17’ 3”) and the triple jump (36’ 1.5”) and was third in the 400-meter run (1:00.28).
Also winning two individual events was Conner Lentz who won the high jump (5’ 4”) and the triple jump (39’ 1.5”). Lentz was also second in 300-meter hurdles (49.73) and the 110-meter hurdles (19.74).
Parker Smith won the 800-meter run (2:26.04) and Taylor Shaver completed a distance sweep by winning the 1600-meter run (5:44.60).
Nathan Wilcox took the pole vault win (8’) and Zaine Penny and Seth Wilson took the throws with Penny first in the discus (122’) and Wilson first in the shot put (40’).
In the 4x100-relay the team of Conner Droemer, Wilson, Lentz, and Shelton was first (48.29).
The 4x200-meter relay squad of Devon Ritchie, Lentz, Droemer, and Nathaniel McKinney finished first (1:46.01).
In the 4x400-meter relay it was Hayden Daniel, Rhett Nietert, Levi McMaster, and Triton Halpain winning (4:18.00).
The 4x800-meter relay team of McMaster, Sean Pennington, Clayton Green, and Smith was also first (11:09.88).
Also scoring in the 100-meter dash were McKinney fourth (12.56) and Droemer fifth (12.59).
In the 200-meter dash it was Droemer third (26.03) and McKinney eighth (27.49).
In the 400-meter run it was Ritchie fifth (1:08.28), Daniel sixth (1:03.70), and McKinney eighth (1:05.90).
In the 800-meter run it was Green second (2:33.38), Shaver fourth (2:40.36), and McMaster fifth (2:41.86).
The 1600-meter run had Pennington third (5:46.71), Junior Quick seventh (6:13.25), and Brody Chambers eighth (6:14.65).
In the 110-meter hurdles Halpain was fourth (21.13), Nietert was fifth (21.22), and Kass DuPree was eighth (21.79).
In the 300-meter hurdles it was Lentz second (49.73), Nietert third (49.77), and Halpain seventh (53.12).
In the high jump Ritchie was fifth (4’ 10”) and he was also seventh in the long jump (16’ 6”).
In the triple jump Daniel was fifth (33’ 2”) and Droemer was sixth (33’ 1.5”).
In the pole vault McMaster was third (7’) and Daniel was fifth (6’ 6”).
In the discus it was Green fourth (104’ 7”), Wilson fifth (103’ 10”), and Tate Fowler seventh (87’).
In the shot put it was Penny fourth (38’ 11”), Halpain sixth (35’ 11”), and Cyle Myers eighth (31’ 9”).
