LADY BEARCATS TO CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON

Coming off a 9-2 loss at Class 4A power Gravette yesterday, the Booneville Lady Bearcats will close out the regular season today with a trip to Clarksville.

Originally scheduled was a trip to Mansfield but Mansfield had to cancel to make up a game with a conference opponent.

The Lady Lions jumped on the Lady Bearcats for four first inning runs and led throughout but the Lady Bearcats did get answer with a run scoring single by Cameron Parish (shown in a recent game) in the top of the second.

The Lady Bearcats (13-10) second run came in the fourth when Lexi Franklin tripled and scored on a ground ball by Ellie Smith.

Franklin was the only Lady Bearcat with a multiple hit game. Besides Parish, Layla Byrum and Kylie Lunsford also delivered hits.
