Lyddia Franklin had the best placement by a Booneville athlete at the Class 3A state track meet in Prescott Tuesday. Dax Goff had the most.

Franklin (shown) ran a 17.85 100-meter hurdle time to take fourth place. The five points accounted for all but one Lady Bearcat point at the event.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Vanessa O’Neal, Anna Ferguson, Beverly Harrison, and Christina O’Neal placed eighth with a time of 5:35.97.

For Goff it was a pair of sixth place finishes in the shot put (40’ 8”) and the triple jump (40’ 5.5”). He was also eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.94.

Goff also ran a leg of the fifth place 4x400-meter relay team along with Dakota Mattson, Dunn Daniel, and Cody Elliott.

The individual top placement in the boys division came from Trevor Karow who cleared 11 feet and finished fifth in pole vault.

Trace Hall also placed eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.15.
