VOLLEYBALL BEARCATS ON THE ROAD TODAY

The Booneville Bearcat volleyball team will make its way to Hackett today to face the 3A West frontrunners.

The Bearcats saw a three match winning streak snapped earlier this week.

Prior to that the Bearcats had toppled Lincoln in straight sets last Thursday for their second win in conference play.

In that match it was Lilly Downs with 21 digs to lead the way. Ellie Smith was second with nine in the match.

Smith also had a team leading nine kills while Presley Walker and Lyddia Franklin (shown) both had six.

Franklin led in service aces with four and Kaylee Ray had two and was also the assist leader with 13.

At Paris Tuesday the Bearcats had four players in double digits in digs with Downs leading the way with 19 followed by Ray with 17, Franklin with 15, and Farrah Stringer with 21.

Smith was again the kill leader with 13 and Kylie Lunsford had seven.

Downs led in aces with four and Ray contributed two more and was again the assist leader with 13.
