Lady Bearcat tennis saw its first set loss of the season but continued to dominate the competition winning four of five sets against Dardanelle at Marcelle Phillips City Park Monday.
Angie Brown (6-5) and Emma Ferguson (6-3) both won singles matches, with Ferguson doing so in her first appearance of a singles player.
Mary Haynes (shown) and Raelynn Franklin rolled through a 6-2 set and in the matchup of both school’s top doubles team, Linley Garrett and Lexi Franklin won a 6-4 set.
The lone setback was a pairing of Ferguson and Harley Ferguson.
Dardanelle swept the boys matches, winning three singles sets and three doubles sets with Noah Harrel being the most competitive of the day.
The Bearcats and Lady Bearcats matches with Jessieville set for today has been cancelled and is unlikely to be made up, according to head coach Katelyn Holub. There was, however, a match added for Thursday at
Marcelle Phillips City Park against Paris.
