The Booneville Bearcat volleyball team will play their first home game in the month of September when they welcome in Charleston this afternoon for junior high, JV and varsity action.
The last home game for the Bearcats was a win over Lincoln on August 31.
The Bearcats wrapped up a four match stretch of road games with a straight set win in Green Forest on Tuesday (25-11, 25-15, 25-18) to move to 3-2 in conference matches.
On Tuesday it was Ellie Smith (shown) with eight kill and eight assists leading the way to the win. Second in kills was Lyddia Franklin with six and Smith was second to Kaylee Ray in assists as Ray had nine.
Lilly Downs recorded 15 digs to lead the way and Franklin, Smith, and Farrah Stringer all had five.
Stringer and Kylie Lunsford both had a couple of aces as well.
At Mansfield on Monday Smith also had eight kills and Ray was tops in assists with five. Downs had 12 digs and Franklin added seven.
At Hackett a week ago Smith had seven kills with Lunsford and Presley Walker three each. Ray had 11 assists and Downs logged 16 digs with Smith adding eight.
Bearcat golf is also slated to return to action today by hosting Charleston at Cherokee Creek Country Club and Lady Bearcat/Bearcat tennis has a scheduled match with Paris, also on their home courts at Marcelle Phillips City Park.
