LADY BEARCAT TENNIS KEEPS IMPRESSING

The Lady Bearcat tennis teams has continued to have success sweeping Paris in matches at home last Thursday and taking three of four three-games sets from Atkins on Monday.

The Bearcat and Lady Bearcat netters are on the road today to take on Jessieville, which will bethe host site for the district tournament on October 3.

Against Atkins Monday Linley Garrett and Lexi Franklin (shown) continued their perfect season with a 3-1 win over a pair of Lady Red Devils and Mary Haynes and Harley Krigbaum completed the doubles sweep with a 3-0 set win.

Angie Brown and Raeylnn Franklin both won their singles matches by 3-1 game counts.

In boys play the bright spots came in doubles as Aiden Carter and Wesley Fonseca won a 4-2 set. Aayden Hill and also beat a couple of teammates in a 3-2 set.

Atkins swept the boys singles.

Against Paris last week Garrett and Franklin recorded a 6-0 sweep in their doubles match and Haynes and Fitzjurls lost only once in a 6-1 set win.

Brown, Raelynn Franklin, and Emma Ferguson also swept the girls singles matches with only Franklin surrendering a single game.

In boys play Taylor Shaver and Daxton Bowman won their sets, 6-0 and 6-1 respectively, and the doubles pairings of Carter and Foseca and Whit Kendall and Hunter Pollard won 6-0 sets.
