TENNIS TEAMS TAKE ON HARMONY GROVE AND JESSIEVILLE

The Bearcat and Lady Bearcat tennis teams traveled to Jessieville Tuesday to play matches against both Jessieville and Harmony Grove with multiple players getting in two sets and one playing in a second sport for the day.

As has been the case all season doubles duo of Linley Garrett and Lexi Franklin continued to dominate winning a pair of sets.

After beating a girls doubles team from Harmony Grove 6-0, the Lady Bearcat pair took on boys pair from Jessieville and won that set 7-5.

Completing the girls doubles sweep Mary Haynes and Harley Fitzjurls won their set 6-0 over a Harmony Grove pair.

In singles play Angie Brown split two sets, beating a Harmony Grove opponent 6-0 but dropping a set to a Jessieville girl. Raelynn Franklin also record a 6-0 set against a Harmony Grove opponent.

Having already played in the district golf tournament before boarding the bus Noah Harrel (shown in a previous match) swept two opponents in boys singles play, beating a Harmony Grove player 6-0 and one from Jessieville, 6-1.

Whit Kendall also picked up a 6-4 win over a Harmony Grove player and Gabe Draper dropped his set.

Wesley Fonseca and Aiden Carter also split narrow sets, beating Harmony Grove opponents 7-5 but falling to a Jessieville team, 5-7.

Kendall and Draper also got in a set, falling to a Harmony Grove pair.
