With Taylor Shaver the top finisher, the Junior High Bearcats finished as the meet runner-up in Magazine’s 17th Rattler Run on Tuesday.
Shaver (shown), a freshman, completed the 1.5 mile course in 8:18 for the win.
Also earning a medal for the meet were seventh graders Aydon Rhinehart and Jaydon Walker along with freshman Jacob Burcham.
Leo Vasquez, another seventh grader, completed the Bearcat team score while freshmen Hunter Pollard and Cooper Lentz also ran for the Bearcats providing possible tiebreaker points.
The Bearcats also had sophomore Nathan Hicks compete in the senior high boys division.
The run completes the regular season for the Bearcats. Up next is the district meet at Danville on Monday, October 23 when freshmen can move to the senior high field after completing the junior high competition.
