Booneville’s Bearcat Stadium is hosting a playoff game for the 62nd time Friday night but for Drew Central it is a first trip to the 56-year old venue.
Doc Crowley has been the head coach of the last six games at the Stadium and has gone to the Ken Rippy Fieldhouse to celebrate a win after each one of them.
Overall, the Bearcats are 48-13 in playoff games at Bearcat Stadium, including 26-4 in the first round.

On November 10, 1978 Ronnie Littleton ran for a playoff record 248 yards in a 30-7 win over Pulaski Oak Grove. The Bearcat offense totaled 491 yards that night.
On November 10, 1989 Joel McDonald ran for 152 yards and Cliff McAnally threw for 96 yards in a 37-21 win over Gentry. McDonald also had two interceptions in the game.
On November 10, 1995 Trent Goff scored four touchdowns and the Bearcat defense intercepted four passes – Glen Holt, Jeremey Thomas, Schmitt, and George Davis – in a 40-6 win over Beebe.
On November 10, 2000 Ronnie Becker ran for four touchdowns, but only totaled 86 yards, in a 41-7 win over Pulaski Oak Grove. Les Nuckolls also ran for 103 that night.
Finally, on November 10, 2006 the Bearcats lost to Trumann 22-7 in what turned out to be Hall of Fame Coach Kenneth Rippy’s final game.
