CONFERENCE GAMES IN PARIS ON TAP TONIGHT

School officials received word early this afternoon that tonight’s scheduled Conference 3A-1 basketball games in Paris will go on as planned.

For the Bearcats it will mark just the second game since the tournament finals of the 10th Bearcat Classic on December 9.

After a week off, the Bearcats (6-3, 1-0) throttled Charleston on December 19 and have been idle since, meaning dual sport players coming over from football have been on the floor just once.

Through nine games the Bearcats are led in scoring by Cody Sum with 13.2 per game and Noah Harrel with 11.4. Nate Smith also accounts for 9.9.

Colter Fisher (shown) scored seven in his first and only game to date as did Dax Goff, who also had 10 rebounds at Charleston.

Sum is the leading rebounder but number averages 7.4 per tip and Wesley Fonseca pulls in 6.1 per game.

Having played three times over the break in the Bank OZK Classic the break for the Lady Bearcats is much shorter.

Through now 12 games the Lady Bearcats are led by seniors Lexi Franklin and Linley Garrett who average 14.2 and 11.4 points per game respectively.

The same duo leads in rebounding with 6.9 and 6.1 apiece respectively. Franklin is also the assist and steals leader as well posting over three of each per game.

Both teams will also be in action on Saturday against Cedarville in a game postponed from December 12.

There has been a change to the schedule. The games against Hackett which were moved to January 18 have been rescheduled again for Wednesday, January 31 with no JV game.
