Rylen Ray hit his third home run in two days and drove in six for the Bearcats in a 15-1 win at Danville Tuesday, marking a sixth straight win.

Ray doubled home a run in the first, grounded out to score a run in the second, hit a three run home run in the third, and got another run home with a fly ball in the fourth. He has 20 RBI on the season.

Ray was one of six Bearcats with a multiple hit day – the Bearcats recorded 16 hits – and one of four with multiple RBIs.

One of those was Matt O’Bar (shown making a defensive play on the right field fence), who had two hits in four at bats, including a two run home run to cap a seven run second inning.

Hitting in front of Ray to create the opportunity for Ray’s six RBI day were Dylan Todd, who was was 3-for-4 and Dax Goff, who was 3-for-3. Both also drove in one run.

Leadoff man Rhett Nietert was 2-for-4 with two RBI coming on a two-run double that made it 3-0 in the second.

Jace Washburn also recorded his first hit of the season, then added a second and drove in two.

Reaching twice on Danville errors, Casey Carter was also aboard in three trips and stole home.

The beneficiary of all the run support was Goff, who threw the five inning complete game. Goff allowed four hits with three coming in the fifth that accounted for the lone run. He walked just one and struck out eight over 91 pitches.

The Bearcats, who stayed perfect in 3A-4 play at 4-0, are next scheduled to face Two Rivers at the Kiersey Complex on Friday.
