Scoring 12 first inning runs, the Booneville Bearcats had no trouble with Two Rivers Friday.
It was a big day for Matt O’Bar, Rylen Ray, and Dylan Todd.
The Bearcats won for the seventh straight time and are 5-0 in Conference 3A-4 play.
The game ended 18-0 with O’Bar (2-1) throwing a no-hitter with seven strikeouts. He faced just one over the minimum due to a walk. O’Bar also hit a grand slam in the second inning for his second home run in as many games.
O’Bar’s grand slam was actually the second of the day because Rylen Ray hit one in his second first inning at bat. The home run for Ray, who drove in six on the day, was his fourth of the year, and of the week.
Dylan Todd (shown) got his first homer of the season in the first inning as well – on the second pitch of the day. It was a two run shot sending Rhett Nietert home. Nietert had singled on the first pitch of the game.
Nietert and Todd were two of the five Bearcats with multiple hits. The others were Ray, O’Bar, and Conner Lentz.
Todd also had a three RBI day.
The Bearcats were scheduled to face Cossatot River today but the game has been postponed to a yet to be determined date.
