Sweeping the relay events and winning 11 total events the Booneville Lady Bearcats amassed 238 points and ran away with the district track title Thursday in Waldron.
High point award winner Anna Ferguson was on three of the relay teams and won three other events for 37.5 points.
Ferguson was with Christina O’Neal and Vanessa O’Neal in each of the relays.
Completing the quartet for the 4x200 (2:00.59) was Alana Helms, completing the 4x400 (4:56.94) was Baylee Parnell, and completing the 4x800 (12:13.04) was Abi Schlup.
Two of the 4x800 runners also won other events with Vanessa O’Neal taking the 800 with a time of 2:49.56 and Schlup was the 1600-meter run winner at 6:23.14.
Ferguson also won the 400-meter dash (shown) with a time of 1:08.47, the triple jump at 30’ 7”, and the pole vault at 7’ 6” to qualify for the Class 3A state track meet in six events.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Helms, Allie Siddons, Angie Brown, and Ellie Smith also won their race with a time of 54.98.
Smith added an event win in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.57.
Completing the event wins was Lyddia Franklin in the 100-meter hurdles at 17.46.
