The Booneville Seventh Grade Bearcats scored a touchdown before they ran a play offensively and went on to a 30-0 win over Prairie Grove Thursday night.

On the third play of the game David Bik scooped up a fumble and rumbled 33 yards for a touchdown and Colt Whitehouse added a two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead with 4:19 remaining in the first quarter.

Whitehouse capped the first Bearcat drive of the season with a 1-yard scoring run and Hank Loftin added another two-point conversion to make it 16-0 with :09 still in the first quarter.

Loftin and Bik would be in the end zone again in the second quarter with Loftin running 38 yards for a touchdown, on his way to eight carries for 101 yards, and Bik getting the carry for the two-point conversion and a 24-0 lead with 2:31 to play in the first half.

Before the half ended Cain Catlett gave the Bearcats one more opportunity with a fumble recovery but the Bearcats would run out of time and settle for their 24-0 lead.

The Bearcats started the final quarter with a 9-yard rushing touchdown by Austin Stone, who also had a reception during the scoring drive and it was 30-0.

After multiple attempts at a two-point conversion, two of which were successful but negated during a series of penalties, the Bearcats decided to forego the attempt from their 28-yard line.

Whitehouse had seven tackles and along with Bik and Jaxon Crabtree were the defensive leaders for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats next game will be at 5:30 next Thursday in Ozark.
