Abi Schlup and Taylor Shaver picked up hardware in a cross country meet in Danville Tuesday in an event which was rated as full.
Schlup ran the course, which served as the district meet course last year, in 25:46.85 to place 11th in the field of 64 runners.
With only two runners – Cora Nichols was 36th – the Lady Bearcats were three runners short of a team score.
In the senior boys run Shaver ran 20th in the 71-runner field with a time of 21:32.62.
Nathan Hicks ran 46th with a time of 25:08.81 with Cooper Lentz (shown in a previous meet) one spot and about 15 seconds back.
Aayden Hill and Brendan Hubble completed the team score which was sixth overall. Barrett Coker and Devon Ritchie completed the course in the tiebreaker spots for the Bearcats.
In the junior high division, where there were 136 runners form 19 schools, Jaydon Walker ran 30th with a time of 12:19.16.
The Bearcats were ninth as a team with Parker Sing running 43rd in 13:08.30 with Leo Vasquez 53rd just 12.44 seconds back and Cam Montalvo and Kiptyn Jones back-to-back 57th and 58th.
Also running for the Bearcats were Parker Schlup, Breckyn Denton and Levi Porter.
The junior girls were a runner short for a team score and were led by Aleena Guajardo. There were 138 total runners including Lady Bearcats Bryleigh Hubble, Elizabeth Carter and Brooklyn Adair.
The next meet is set for Mena next Tuesday.
