BEARCAT TENNIS DOMINANT IN THREE SCHOOL EVENT

The Bearcat tennis team will take the court today off a sweep of three combined sets against Paris and Atkins on Tuesday.

With the three schools converging on Marcelle Phillips City Park sets were reduced to six games with a win by two stipulation.

In the case of Dax Bowman (shown) against an Atkins player, that would eventually mean a full 12 game set before Bowman took a 7-5 decision.

The other boys wins came in double play where Aiden Carter and Wesley Fonseca won their match 4-2, and Jaxon Harger and Whit Kendall took theirs 3-1.

In girls play it was a 5-0 sweep in singles play. Angie Brown and Raelynn Franklin won their matches 3-1; Malena Loftin and Zoie Jones both swept sets 3-0; and Joslin Combs won 4-2.

Sisters Emma and Anna Ferguson also won a doubles match by a 4-2 count and Baylee Parnell and Harley Fitzjurls took a 3-1 loss.
