Playing with their most players since football season started the Bearcat golf team shot a 124 to tie Charleston in the final home match of the 2024 season.

With the football Bearcats having an open date Landon Ritchie, Parker Smith, Cutler Haller, Jace Washburn, and Conner Lentz joined Bryce Eaves and Casey Carter on the links at Cherokee Creek Country Club Wednesday.

Ritchie shot a team best 40, which was one shot off the leader for the day and Eaves and Smith (shown) both shot a 42 to complete same team score as Charleston (39, 42, 43).

Washburn and Haller both shot a 44. Charleston did not have additional players.

In what was a competitive match throughout, Paris was just five strokes back with a 129 (41, 43, 45) and County Line was just six back at 130 (39, 45, 46).

In the girls division the Lady Bearcats were the only team with the three golfers for a team score.

Shooting under her season average by a stroke, Emma Ferguson shot an individual best 49, matching a Paris golfer.

Anna Ferguson shot a 55 and Baylee Parnell a 56 to complete the team score. Kaci DeWitt also completed the round with a 59.

Up next for the Bearcats and Lady Bearcats is a district tournament practice round at Russellville Country Club on Monday, followed by the district tournament in Russellville on Tuesday. Dover is the district host this season.
