The Junior High Bearcats wrapped up conference play – they meet each team only once – with a game at Lamar Monday and stand at 6-2 in 3A-4 play.

Drake Brackeny scored 14 points Monday and Aiden Rhinehart added 7 Monday night.

The Lady Bearcats topped Lamar Monday to move to 4-2 in league play, but are not quite finished. The Lady Bearcats have one fewer game because Subiaco is an all boys school and they have yet to play Cossatot River.

Torie Nobles scored 8 points and Emma Fox had 6 on Monday.

The district tournament will be held in Lavaca the week of February 8.

However, before that the Lady Bearcats and Bearcats will face host County Line the semifinals of the Opal Pistole Tournament.

The Lady Bearcats got to the semifinals by beating Mountainburg last Saturday and the Bearcats got there by blasting Pleasant View.

Chloe Walker scored 11 points and Kaity Green (shown) 7 for the Lady Bearcats on Saturday while Sadler Miller led the Bearcats with 9 and both Hayden Daniel and Callen Montalvo scored 6.

The finals and a third place game of the tournament will be held on Saturday in County Line.

There is an additional scheduling note in that the February 3 games involving the seventh grade and junior high teams have been moved to Lavaca because the January 13 junior high games set for Lavaca were moved to Bearcat Gymnasium and played January 14.
